Best M2 MacBook Air deals: Free Apple services, gift cards and more

Unveiled alongside MacBook Pro M2 back to Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June, the redesign Macbook Air M2 is now readily available to order. Being Apple’s latest laptop, M2 MacBook Air deals are rare at the moment, but there are already plenty of ways to save money if you’re willing to think creatively.

Featuring an all new design closer to the modern look of the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the new Air brings improved speed and efficiency thanks to the new Apple silicon and also offers a slightly larger screen than the previous generation model at 13.6 inches. The M2 chip inside enables a performance boost of up to 40% and battery life of up to 18 hours, according to Apple.

However, all these improvements come at a cost, as the MacBook Air M2 price starts at $100 more than its predecessor. For this reason, it’s worth trying to secure an M2 MacBook Air deal whenever possible. While these are rare at the start of the device’s lifecycle, we’ll be sure to add any deals to this list as they appear in the coming months.

Amazon is likely to be the go-to place for early M2 MacBook Air users, and Prime members can get expedited shipping. Although there is no cash back available from the online retailer yet, you can get 3% cash back with the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card.

As you might expect for a new Apple product, direct price drops are hard to come by, but Best Buy is offering free access to Apple services with your MacBook Air M2 purchase. You’ll get six months of access to Apple Music and Apple News Plus, plus three months of Apple TV Plus streaming. That’s a total of $135 in free Apple services.

B&H also doesn’t offer a direct discount on the MacBook Air M2, but does offer a convenient way to save on sales tax. Its own-brand B&H Payboo credit card lets you reclaim the tax as cash back. On a purchase as large as a MacBook Air, that’s a nice chunk of change.

You can order the MacBook Air M2 from Adorama. While it doesn’t yet have a direct price drop, its Adorama Rewards program is free and allows you to earn points to redeem for future purchases.

You can of course order the MacBook Air M2 directly from Apple. The company is notorious for not offering direct discounts, but its back-to-school promotion offers a $150 Apple Gift Card (plus 20% off AppleCare) to eligible students. If you’re not a student, you can still save by trading in your old MacBook (or any other Apple device) for credit for your new one, or using your Apple Card to split the cost of your purchase while getting 3% cash back. .
