Man jailed for stealing Dolce and Gabbana gift box from store

A BRADFORD man has been jailed for stealing a gift box from a town store, stealing meat from a supermarket and causing criminal damage.

Liam Reid, 37, of Deanwood Crescent, Bradford, was jailed for a total of 12 weeks for three offences.

He was jailed for 12 weeks for theft from a store. He stole a Dolce and Gabbana gift set, worth a total of £89, from Forster Square Retail Park, Valley Road, Bradford on November 25, 2021.

Reid was jailed for eight weeks, to run concurrently, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128, for criminal damage to property worth less than £5,000.

Without lawful excuse destroyed a glass door to the value of a glass door worth £500 belonging to The Library, Centenary Square, Aldermanbury, Bradford on 26th November 2021. This was for intending to destroy or damage such property or concern whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

He was also jailed for 12 weeks, concurrently running, for stealing meat, worth £40, from Tesco in Bradford on November 23, 2021.

Reid was imprisoned as the offenses were deemed serious based on his record.

He pleaded guilty to all charges when sentenced on February 11, 2022.
