PA Commuter Services is raffling off gift cards to track your green trips

April 20—Commuter Services of PA celebrates Earth Day throughout the month and asks commuters to log their green commutes for a chance to win a $100 Tango gift card.

Rides can be logged in Commute PA, a free app-based service for Apple and Android that allows workers to find carpooling options to and from work, map local transit routes, and access information such as fuel costs saved and emissions data.

To be eligible to win, commuters must do the following:

-Like one of Commute PA’s social media pages.

—Comment on the three Facebook posts that will be posted by Commuter Services on Earth Day week. The messages will be published on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

— Log at least five green trips in your Commute PA account in April.

Three randomly selected winners will receive a $100 Tango gift card. Winners will be announced in early May.

In 2021, local commuters saved their eco-friendly commutes in Commute PA while traveling 2,162,994 miles of Pennsylvania roads, saving 92,443 gallons of gas, and returning more than $1.2 million in revenue available in their pockets, rather than their gas tanks, according to Commuter Services.

Commuter services are based in York, and funding is provided by the Federal Highway Administration through PennDOT and area metropolitan planning organizations.
