Today’s best deals: Apple gift cards, Amazon Kids tablets, and more

Ars-Technica

It’s time for another Dealmaster! Our latest roundup of the web’s best tech deals includes some handy deals on Apple Gift Cards.

At Amazon you can get a bonus $5 store credit when you purchase a $50 Apple Gift Card. Offer applies to both digital and physical versions of the gift card; you’ll need to use the code “APPLEDEAL” at checkout to see the offer if you opt for the former, or “APPLEAPRIL” if you opt for the latter. Either way, Amazon says it will apply the credit to your account within three days of your purchase. It will then automatically be used the next time you buy something from the site sold by Amazon itself.

The promotional credit in Amazon’s offer does not stack, so if you wanted more “Apple cash”, note that Target is launch a similar promotion which gives $10 store credit when you buy a $100 Apple gift card there. However, this offer only applies to the digital version of the gift card.

We’ve seen promotions like these a few times in the past, but, as with the Nintendo gift card offer we highlighted last weekend, it’s hard to complain about a little essentially free money as long as you know you will use them. stores anyway. As a reminder, the Apple gift card credit can be applied in all Apple physical and online stores, as well as with services such as iCloud storage, Apple Music or Apple TV+.

If you’re not planning on getting anything Apple-related anytime soon, however, our roundup of deals also includes lower-than-normal prices on Amazon’s recommended kids’ tablets and e-readers, a game of two player society we love in Codenames: Duo, fast SSDs, tons of great video games, and more.
