You can get discounts and gift cards from Amazon if your package is delayed
MANY are eager to get their Amazon packages on time – but you could benefit more if your package is delayed.
Your package may be delayed if you enter the wrong address or payment information.
If so, it’s technically your fault and you may not be eligible for additional benefits.
On the other hand, if your package is delayed for reasons beyond your control, including severe weather, transit issues, or staff shortages, Amazon may reward you.
One of these rewards can be a gift card or Amazon credit.
Tiktok user “amazingstealzdealz” went down in a recent Video clip on how to obtain a credit if your shipment or arrival date is delayed.
What you will need to do is enter into a conversation with an Amazon representative through their customer service tab.
Once you’ve logged in, the next step is essential: you’ll want to say that my “guaranteed delivery time was missed by several days”, according to amazingstealzdealz.
As a result, she ended up getting a $10 promotional credit as an excuse for being late.
“Sometimes they give $5, sometimes they give you $10 or $20 depending on the quantity of products and the delay time,” the Tiktoker said.
On a personal note, I could relate to that.
I ordered a set of jars which was delayed for about a week recently.
I complained and asked them to expedite shipping so I could receive my package overnight – but the rep claimed they had no control over the shipping speed.
Then I asked, well, is there “anything else you can do?”
I ended up only getting a $5 promo code, which was automatically applied to my account.
If only I had followed amazingstealzdealz sooner, I might have been able to double my Amazon credits.
Free month of Amazon Prime
It could also be because I’m not an Amazon Prime member, as amazingstealzdealz noted that the process would work better if that was the case.
Speaking of Amazon Prime, there’s a chance you could get a month free of it, as money lawyer Erika Kullberg claimed in a recent Video Tiktok of its own.
With Amazon Prime, you get perks like access to its video streaming service and free two-day shipping.
After a recent price hike, Amazon Prime now costs $14.99 per month, or $139 per year.
Another benefit you might get is a discount or refund on your product.
Ms Kullberg noted that Amazon could also offer “a full or partial refund for the product”.
She added that shipping costs will also be reimbursed.
Whether you qualify or not, you should note these options to your Amazon customer service representative next time.
I know I will.
