YOUGotaGift Unlocks BNPL for E-Gift Cards with Tabby Partnership

You received a gift enables Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) financing for UAE and Saudi buyers of its mobile app through the company’s new partnership with Tiger.

Consumers in the gift card market will now be able to spread the cost of their in-app purchases with interest-free alternative financing options from its latest partner.

While the capability currently exists in YOUGotaGift’s mobile app, the same functionality has yet to be implemented on the company’s adjoining website.

When paying at YOUGotaGift via Tabby, customers will have access to a transparent payment schedule before making their first payment.

After making purchases through Tabby, in-app customers will receive an email with the payment schedule along with reminders of upcoming payments.

News of the integration comes at a pivotal time for alternative financing in the Middle East.

According Checkout.comit is latest studywhich was published this month, 39% of consumers in the region used a BNPL option in 2022, up from 24% the previous year.

The same study predicts that this figure will increase to 67% next year.

Likewise, Fintech timeown study across the region’s BNPL landscape indicated a similar positive trajectory for the payment service.

Discussing the growing adoption of the alternative payment service in the MENA region, CEO of YOUGotaGift, Husain Makiyaexplains that beyond gifts, “customers are increasingly using e-gift cards for budgeting purposes or to access offers.”
